Not the most imaginative photo today however have a hellish few days of exams coming up starting tomorrow so just included a basic picture that summed up my day best... Purple heart
Conceptual Self portrait
My Conceptual Self portrait and the first time I've edited for a long while so a little bit rusty but tried to get a HD feel to the image and ultimately fairly pleased with the outcome... Image shows my interest and hobbies in life, capturing cricket, running, music, photography and a hungover morning with coffee and the paper...
Reflection...
Probably my favourite photo so far of the project and taken very early this morning as I was still up revising into the early hours... The idea of the picture came as I was working in a darkened room with a desk light and caught my reflection in the window after doing some light trail work. Love the ghostly quality of my face and seeing the street behind me and also almost through me...

Trails of light
First came up with this picture whilst staring out of my window at 3 in the morning up late revising however then took this picture which I much prefer at nearly midnight later today. Prefer the composition of this one and really enjoying being back being creative at the moment and really into my photography. Also had another really good day of revision and then a very enjoyable game of cricket in the evening and a chill with my house mates before back to the revision and not too late a night tonight....

Floating away
Really nice to take some time out of revision today and do some proper photography with my SLR which was really nice. Just got out into the garden with my macro lens on and enjoyed being outside and really enjoying nature. Also had a really good day of revision and an awesome run which was most encouraging. It's now 2 in the morning so need to get some sleep soon however not feeling tired hardly which is good as long as I don't suffer in the morning...

Ghostly figures
Steady day of revision today, would ideally liked to have got a bit more done but all in all was a fairly productive day and understanding Statistical Modelling a whole lot better now... Went for a good run this morning to start the day off well and then did a lot of experimental photography work in the evening...

Beer, Bbq and football...
Another really nice day today and fairly successful work session although the nice weather made it too tempting to chill for long periods. Watched Murray play an epic match of tennis and went to the park with Mark to play with the Frisbee and a spot of cricket. Then had another awesome bbq this time fish which was really nice and watching the football with a few beers before going down the park again and playing more Frisbee this time in the dark. Up early in the morning for a run before breakfast so not having a late one with revision tonight!
Another glorious day and another BBQ as we this time went for Pork chops and a salad of cous cous all of which was delicious and washed down with a beer or five. A very productive day also with revision which was really nice and also spent some time chilling down the park in the sun with the Frisbee's. Also particuarly enjoyed toasting Marshmallows on the BBQ after we's eaten which was delicious and bought back childhood memories. Also did my good turn for the day and a spot of DIY when I fixed Joe's window with a trusty hammer...
The heat of summer!
Enjoyed our second BBQ in as many days today and this arty picture of Andy shows the mess created for the fabulous meal we enjoyed later on. After a bit of a hungover morning I wandered into town with Mark and Abi to enjoy a smoothie and a wander through the market then spent the afternoon doing a few bits of revision and an evening of chilling outside again with a few beers and watched Milan lift the Champions League trophy. Loving the good weather although its making revision very hard to get on with however long may this fine spell of sunshine continue...
BBQ
Absolutely awesome day today in the glorious sunshine and very clear now that summer is well and truly here... Spent the whole afternoon and most of the morning in the garden with the BBQ going and a huge bucket filled with water and ice with bottles of beer floating in it. Really felt so good to be alive and was an absolute win of an afternoon with good company and good food and drink. Joe is seen here late into the evening playing about with the fire, absolutely great fun. We then went on to Fnd for a really good evening and early morning before home and in bed just before the sun came up...

Quintesentially English
This picture screams to me English summertime and it seems like its here at last as we had a lovely day today and finished off perfectly playing cricket on a lovely summers evening. Picked up a couple of wickets which was really good and also had another solid day of revision after a morning in town at the Market.
England come to Luff
Bit behind on blog so just a quick mention, England came to Loughborough today as the Under 20's took on our first team. Really quality Rugby however unfortunately England were just too strong for us this year and the game was abandoned 10 minutes before the end due to floodlight failure. Solid revision again.

Student cooking
One thing I particularity enjoy about living in a house this year has been the cooking... Today I cooked one of my favourite dishes that I cook, Chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese and served with a tomato and pepper sauce and new potatoes. Was really nice and perfect after a long day of revision that went really well today, also had a good gym session. Up early tomorrow for a run and hopefully getting on the ol' revision for a massively productive day...

Running + Revision = Successful day
Had a pretty productive day today really by all accounts. Managed to get up fairly early and get on with some abstract algebra revision which went really well and got a good amount done throughout the day. Did a lot of looking at the Kennington area on the internet too finding out about our area for next year which is so so exciting. Then went for a run this evening which was really good especially as we managed to get a good pace going and didn't have too many problems with my leg. Hoping for another equally productive day tomorrow and getting on with some good solid amounts of work.
Sleep, World Champions and HOUSE!!!!
Had a mammoth lie in today, can see Mark here awakening Ben, after a long day of house hunting it was very much needed. Went for a big roast dinner at Wetherspoon's which was just what I needed and then headed back up to Lufbra after a lovely weekend in our Capital. Watched England be crowned World Twenty20 champions as they thrashed Australia in the final which was awesome and then had some great news as Carly phoned to say we'd got the house. Already can't wait to move in... it's such a nice house in a great location and 10 minutes walk from the Oval and only a 20 minute commute to work. Really good news to round of a lovely weekend, revision gets serious this week!

House hunting
Up early this morning for a day of house hunting in London with high spirits and the excitement of finding a property. First property was in a great location but really didn't like the house and then the next property was really nice but just too far from the Tube station. As the day went on the quality of property seemed to deteriorate however the last house we looked out was perfect and so so close to a tube station. It all seemed too good to be true and turns out there's already been an offer put in for it but we've got as good a chance as them so fingers crossed...
Laaandaan
So to London today for hopefully a successful weekend of house hunting and hopefully we'll find something we like. Mark had an interview today which went well so hopefully fingers crossed he gets it now before exams. Ben and I spent the day wandering around London which was really nice before meeting up with Mark and Carly for a few drinks and dinner. Went to Boujis tonight which was seriously cool especially walking past the queue and getting in for free, looking forward to House hunting tomorrow...
Bored Beard
A long day of revision prompted the shaving of my beard into a number of frankly underused designs. The real fun however began in the evening with the opening of a casual bottle of wine!!! We got through a fair few bottles whilst watching the Sound of Music and then moved onto Martini and Amaretto, we soon started throwing ketchup mayonnaise and all other sorts of things before all climbing into Abi's bed, great evening with house mates, tomorrow London

Last gasp tackle
This picture is the last in the sequence of one the funniest things I've ever seen on a Rugby pitch. The match is between Loughborough and Bath in the annual varsity fixture and the Bath player getting tackled has just celebrated scoring the try without realising the close proximity of the Loughborough winger. The Lufbra player then did amazingly well to swing his legs under him and hold the ball up preventing the try! Considering after a bad first half Lufbra came back to win 26-25 this was a huge moment in the match! Was really nice to get out the house after a good day of revision today...
Distractions
Another day of revision and this pictur shows the main distraction of my room, having a really interesting view down Station street that's perfect for people watching. I got a fair amount done today but again what with cooking dinner, sorting washing and all it can be a struggle to settle down and really press on with what I need to get done. Love spending time with my house mates though and had a great evening chilling with them as always. Had a difficult gym session today with pains in my leg whilst on the treadmill that I need to get sorted, going to rest until Monday and if I've still got pains then make a trip to the Doctors.
Study
I guess today it really started to dawn on me that exams are coming up pretty fast and I've still got a lot of work to do before they happen! I do find it really hard revising at Uni though with all the distractions and even in this picture my room is full of house mates while I'm trying to press on into the night. I will hopefully get down to work good and proper in the next coming few weeks now...

Home cooking...
The best part about being home is my Mum's unbelieavle cooking shown in this picture with the hand raised pork chop with potatoes and mushy peas... just incredible... Played cricket again today and sadly we lost in the Cup but still put up a good fight with a severely weakened team. After not batting for an absolute age I got the chance today and got a fairly scratchy 25, it started off very badly, however by the end was starting to middle a lot of balls and hit a huge six into the road... Aching so so much this evening though and not looking forward to being on the train tomorrow, still be good to be back with the guys though :)
A winning start
After promotion from the second division last year it was awesome to get our season up and running with a victory in the first division. We bowled first and in overcast conditions restricted Iden to 170. I picked up 3 wickets in a welcome return to form and ran out two players including their opener who was on 70. We then knocked off the runs for only a couple of wickets with our captain and opener scoring a very good 80 and the evening was nicely rounded off with a few Beers up the Griffin. The picture shows the general chaos of our changing room in between innings.

Homewards...
Headed home again today for a full weekend of cricket and to try and get as much revision also done as possible. This picture for today is my favourite view on the often taken journey between Loughborough and home. It comes after travelling through some of the darker areas of underground London and you come out over the Thames to see London in all her majesty. Since getting my placement I have particularly loved this part of my journey and cannot wait to be moving there next year...
The big vote!
Great excitement today as my first every election day where I was able to vote. I was up early to go for a run in my new running shoes that I brought yesterday and then went of with my Polling card to vote. It was all rather anti climatic to be honest just a simple cross in a small box but still a moment where I felt very grown up. I read an article in the times today saying of the large numbers of voting public this year in the most important election for a debate and have to say I have enjoyed following this years campaigns. After playing cricket this evening which was really nice to find some rhythm at last I watched the election show with my house mates and discussed the incoming results. Its looking like we're going to have some of hung parliament and it will be interesting to see how things all pan out in the following days. You realise in moments like this how fortunate we are to live in a country where we can vote for whoever we want without any worries.

Busy
Another day full of fun at Uni and another day of very little revision. Had early lectures this morning and then went to town and brought a new pair of running shoes in preparation for the half marathon I'm doing in September. Then watched Gledders playing football for a University select XI which was really nice to go and support my house mate. Had another good game of squash and then had an amazing bowl of seafood tagiatelli for dinner which was so so tasty. All in all a really good day and looking forward strangely to a day of revision ahead tomorrow.
Coursework
Why is it although I only had the one solitary piece of coursework for this whole Semester I left it right until the last day to start and indeed complete. Spent the morning in the library but got it done and then played another great squash game with Wriggers... Officialy first day of revision but lack of work done due to Coursework and sorting stuff out, however all in all a very productive day.

Chillin'
A really nice day just chilling at home today with my house mates after a heavy night last night and severe lack of sleep. Drunk an awful lot of tea and spent a lot of the day playing cards and just talking which was really nice. Also played squash with Wriggers which was nice as we both played really well and had a close game. The revision all starts tomorrow so enjoyed having a lot of time off today which was really nice. Love all my friends and house mates to pieces...
Second Birthday...
Bank Holiday monday and the second of my birthday celebrations with friends. Had to get up early at 7 to put the Pork in the oven seen here looking fabulous in all its glory and then spent the morning cooking before the guests arrived. Food and company was awesome had a lovely afternoon and went down the Paget for a few beers before spending the night out at Wild. The guys bought me a Guinness rugby top which is awesome and a perfect fit another incredible day with my awesome friends.

Summer
Today did in a way very much mark the start of summer for me with my first game of cricket, played for Woodhouse Eaves. We had a great game as a team bowling them out for 77 and knocking it off for 1 wicket down which was awesome. I personally had a quiet game however managed to find a bit of rhythm towards the end of my spell which was promising. Another awesome evening with my unbelievable house mates, went for a few beers and played some pool and then came and messed about at the house till the early hours, loving it... The picture for the day is of the destruction we caused to my house mate Ben's room last night wrapping everything up in newspaper.

Friends
Had a really awesome day today spent with friends starting with playing squash and took a huge amount of photos at home with my house mates. Love spending time with them all and today really reminded me how awesome they all are and how much I love them all... Really need to get on with my Coursework starting tomorrow but was a really lovely day and this picture sums up our happiness.
